2016 race results

The champs are being held in 2016 because of facility availability and a clash with the County Sportshall Champs on the weekend of 7th Jan 2017.

Numbers will be available on the day from race HQ.

Approximately a week before the event full instructions will be sent out via e mail.

First race will start at 11.00 - the Mayor of Thetford will present medals in the race HQ (Charles Burrell Centre - Main Hall)

The Championships will be used as selection for two events.
1) The first 5 in each race will automatically qualify for the Inter Counties Championship being held in Loughborough on 11th March 2017. Please compete the form handed out at the finish and pass to the scorers at race HQ prior to leaving. If you would like to help organise this event then please contact Clive Poyner at clivepoyner@talktalk.net .

2) The winners of the U13, U15 and U17 races - male and female will be selected to represent the East Region in the 2017 London Mini Marathon.

There is a further Southern Intercounties event on the 10th Dec in Oxford  - we are looking at options to select these teams, again if you wish to help please contact Clive.

Volunteers
As you are probably aware, the County does not have a Cross County Co ordinator. Therefore, should any part of the champs not go to plan - please do not complain.

Thetford AC have stepped forward and will be providing 25 volunteers to set the course up, marshal, start, time etc - please join me in saying a huge thank you, because without this help the champs would not be going ahead. We are still looking for about another 10 volunteers to make the champs run safely and smoothly - please drop me a line if you can help. Set up all start around 7.30am - we should be away by 3.00pm.

Looking forward to welcoming 600 runners to the event.
