Track and FieldAcross Norfolk there are 8 athletics clubs offering track and field coaching and development providing plenty of opportunities for you to compete.
For individuals there are schools competitions, county championships and national Championships all taking part between May and July.
Also in May Athletics Norfolk puts on its own championships for all age groups and includes a 5k for road runners to test their track speed.
As a team there are leagues which the clubs enter.
East Anglian League (EAL)
Normally 4 matches in the summer and a final in September, all age groups are included male and female.
Eastern Young Athletes League (EYAL)
5 matches and a final - young athletes only - U13, U15 and U17 male and female.
Southern Athletics League (SAL)
5 matches a year - seniors only male and female.
Young Development League upper age group - (YDL UAG)
U17 and U20 male and female athletes. A composite Team from track and field clubs that is in the Southern Premier division mixing it with the very large London clubs, and mixing it well.

Norfolk has enjoyed notable success in competition, in 2014 the YDL UAG finished 9th in the country out of 150 teams, missing the National Final by 1 place. In the same year the relay teams all finished high in the Power of 10 rankings and got invited to the National finals. The U17 men 4*100 team came away as champs and the u17 4*400 men and U17 4*300 ladies picked up silver and bronze respectively.
